Dr. Lupaș (Loo-posh) has specialized her practice in children and developmental disability, driven by her passion for serving these groups. She grew up alongside a brother with multiple disabilities and has seen how the right supports have helped him. As the oldest daughter to Romanian immigrants with limited financial resources, she has shaped her approach into one that is family-centered and seeks meaningful and sustainable impact for families. She adopts behavioral and cognitive-behavioral approaches to her care, incorporating mindfulness practice whenever possible. Prior to Small Steps, she was a behavioral psychologist at Seattle Children's Autism Center, where she worked for 6 years. When away from work, she can be found hiking the national parks or gently reminding her cat (Twix) that she already ate breakfast.
